It's been seven years since Disney wonderfully transplanted their classic animated tales to the realm of live-action with Enchanted, and while a sequel has been rumoured for a while now, it looks like we are finally getting some traction on the project with The Smurfs and Shrek 2 writers J. David Stem and David N. Weiss hired to pen the script. Anne Fletcher (The Proposal, The Guilt Trip) is at the helm for the sequel, though there is no word on whether Amy Adams will return as the first live action Disney princess, or if any of the cast, including Patrick Dempsey, James Madsen, Timothy Spall, and Susan Sarandon, will be coming back. But, considering the reception she has gotten because of Frozen, I suspect Idina Menzel will see her small role elevated for the follow up.
