It may not have to most inspiring name under the sun, but Melissa McCarthy’s Tammy looks like it could be a bit of fun. And considering Susan Sarandon is in there too as a hard drinking grandmother, this should deliver a few laughs. McCarthy, to her credit, is going from strength to strength since shitting into a sink in Bridesmaids and in fairness her performances are always bursting with energy and she is really likeable. That said, the whole dirty, lazy, ho-bag vibe that’s on offer here and was on display to some extent in The Heat, may be short lived, so heres hoping she’s got more in the bag of acting tricks than that. And I’d hazard a guess she has! And then some. Anyway, check out the latest poster for Tammy which burst into our inbox earlier today.
