Back in January, Gerard Butler was announced as the first actor to the Ericson Core directed Point Break remake, replacing Patrick Swayze as Bodhi. Now it seems like that is no more, with The Hollywood Reporter reporting (ahem) that he is leaving the project. Scheduling conflicts seems to be the major factor, with production beginning in June, lasting several months in numerous locations. Butler is to start shooting London has Fallen, sequel to Olympus has Fallen, in Autumn. Production on Point Break is still on schedule for next month, with a replacement to act along side Luke Bracey, replacing Keanu Reeves as Johnny Utah, expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
