In a bit of a change from the norm, Fox have decided to showcase their film adaption of Yann Martel's novel Life Of Pi in a series of short sequences from the movie, in front of select 3D movies in America, such as Prometheus and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, instead of the usual teaser trailer. While this is being used to show the movies use of 3D, a sequence, in glorious 2D, has appeared online to give those in other parts of the world a taste of what to expect. While quite short, it has got me dying to see more.
Directed by Ang Lee, the film stars Tobey Maguire, Irrfan Kahn, Gerad Depardieu, and newcomer Suraj Sharma.
Source: The story of an Indian boy named Pi, a zookeeper's son who finds himself in the company of a hyena, zebra, orangutan, and a Bengal tiger after a shipwreck sets them adrift in the Pacific Ocean.
Released: 21st November 2012 (UK/IRE/U.S)
