A bunch of cops thunder into a block of apartments to take on a ruthless crimelord. Thats it. Thats the story of The Raid (or The Raid: Redemption if you’re stateside). What comes with the story (along with a twist or two) is an amount of INSANE action that you will have never seen before with some incredibly choreographed fight sequences which are breathtaking, intense and jaw dropping, not to mention jaw breaking. The thing moves like a freight train and it will have you cheering in your seat!
So that’s it, there’s no point in blowing on about The Raid. It’s that bloody good. It doesn’t disappoint in any capacity, and the shorter this review is, the quicker you can get out, away from your computer or mobile device and go see the thing. Seriously, go book your tickets NOW! It’s rare for a review to be so short on this here website but the movie is just that damn good, words are nearly pointless. Go see it at least TWICE. It’s AWESOME! Not only is this one of the movies of the year, The Raid is one of the greatest action movies in the history of cinema.
