It’s one of my favourite movies from the last 10 years, and now some more details are emerging for the Kick-Ass sequel. Universal is in talks with Matthew Vaughan to develop the second movie to the 2010 movie. Vaughan is producing the sequel and has selected Jeff Wadlow to direct (Never Back Down).
Anyone who has read the Mark Millar comic book will know that the dials have been turned up to 12 on this one, culminating in a huge hero vs villain free for all in Times Square. One would imagine that Vaughan will have stayed quite close to the story line, and by all accounts the script also makes room for the Hit-Girl comic spin off thats out next month.
September is now being touted as a start date and will have Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse donning their blood soaked outfits again!
